Ocean Park Estate and Gardens Inc’s Mission
                and Vision

Our goal is to establish, restore and maintain a migratory breeding habitat for the monarch butterfly. We will also cater to other pollinators, including native bees and wildlife.

What’s Special

  • Our project will be 100% sustainable organic farming, which will include fruit and vegetables. We will import fertile organic soil to the natural prairie, planting wildflowers which include milkweed and other native plants that attract butterflies, bees, and other pollinators.
  • We will also be erecting beehives for our habitat and installing catch basins for rainfall to be used for watering.
  • Our sanctuary will have locations for organic farming, specifically for agriculture and horticulture students from local universities.

Our Goals

  • Our mission is to protect monarchs and their migration by collaborating with partners to deliver habitat conservation, education, and science to our local communities.
  • We will be offering internships to the students of these local universities.
  • All fruit and vegetables harvested from our gardens will either be sold at local farmers’ markets or gifted to local schools to feed the students healthy, sustainable food.
  • All proceeds will be used to sustain Ocean Park Estate and Gardens Monarch Sanctuary.
  • We will offer scholarships to students that complete a semester at Ocean Park Estate and Gardens Monarch Sanctuary. This will be on a lottery basis and gifted annually.
  • Educational speakers will be hosting multiple segments on our outdoor stage for students and the general public.
  • The subjects will vary from agriculture, horticulture, sustainable organic farming, and monarch butterfly preservation.
  • We are hoping to raise a few miniatures dairy cows and chickens for the students to engage in. We will harvest the milk and eggs that will be sold to sustain The Ocean Park Estate and Gardens Butterfly Sanctuary.
